Man and the machine

Man gets to know himself by using his hands. Tools and machines are the creations of man. Though they may involve some degree of alienation, how can you talk about our identity without mentioning the fact that we make objects with our hands?

This question is asked in the project "Identity - alienation", where people and machines are deeply dependent on each other and the characters' options and chances obviously are linked to the mechanical devices.

Using computer-generated scenes instead of photographic material the project also deals with identity and alienation in a stylistic manner. Though the scenes look identical with the real world they are alien too, because the "realism" of the scenes aren't trustworthy.
